  • Epocrates Essentials
  • Provides drug information, drug interactions tools, medication identification and medical calculators.
    Recommended for: Junior and Senior Level Master's Students
  • AHRQ ePSS developed by U.S. Department of Health & Human Services to assist primary care clinicians identify proper screening, counseling, and preventive medication services; like WellAdult (see below) but free
  • Brain Tutor 3D rotatable 3D models of brain
  • Eponyms defines medical terms for various conditions and syndromes. Link opens the iTunes AppStore.
  • EyeChart Snellen eyechart
  • gFlash+ create digital flashcards on your iPod with simple spreadsheets in Google Docs
  • Medzio generalized health information geared to patients
  • Natural Cures encyclopedia of natural and alternative remedies for illnesses

  • Drug Pronunciations $2.99; play back audio of the correct pronunciations of over 2500 drugs
  • The ECG Guide $4.99 more than 100 ECG waveforms and interpretations
  • First Aid $0.99; first aid instructions
  • iMurmur $0.99 learn heart murmurs
  • Medical Abbreviations $0.99
  • Medical Calculator $0.99 lots of useful medical calculations
  • Mediquations Medical Calculator $4.99; more equations than the cheap version, I guess
  • Memoreasy $1.99 audio flash cards, record new ones on the fly. Requires headphones with mic (purchased separately from iPod Touch)
  • Phone Aid $1.99; first aid instructions given to you in audio
  • WellAdult $2.99; find recommended screening exams by age and gender. Like AHRQ ePSS (see above), but not free
  • Air Sharing $4.99; drag/drop files between iPod and your computer and view documents in many common formats
  • Droppler $1.99 app to access your drop.io account which hosts personalized photos, music, voicemail you name it
  • PDF Reader Pro Edition ($1.99) ... this one has search!
  • Bento $4.99 organize your life
  • Graphing Calculator $0.99 graphing calculator
  • Beejive IM $9.99 use any and all IM networks
  • Cheapskate $0.99 make a list of whom to shop for from address book, take pictures while window shopping, and get maps back to favorite items
  • Save Benjis $0.99 compare prices at many different sites for the same item you wish to purchase
